Zhen Jiu Jia Yi Jing (The ABC Classic of Acupuncture and Moxibustion)
Zhen Jiu Jia Yi Jing (The ABC Classic of Acupuncture and Moxibustion), a 12-volume book written by Huangfu Mi (215~282), is the first monograph on acupuncture and moxibustion.  It has been influentional in the development of acupuncture and moxibusiton, on which many books on acupuncture after the Jin Dynasty (265~420) worked out.
The book covers zang-fu organs, meridians, points, pathogensis, diagnosis and treatment.  A total of 654 points was revised and corrected.  Indications and contraindications of each point were recorded.  Techniques of needling were also accounted for.  This book has always been on the reading list of anyone who wants to learn traditional Chinese medicine.
Zhen Jiu Jia Yi Jing (The ABC Classic of Acupuncture and Moxibustion) is of high academic value not only as an acupuncture and moxibustion book.  It also elaborates and systematizes etiology, manifestations, pathogenesis of various disorders, especially the internal diseases.  So this book can also be viewed as an ancient, complete and systematic clinical work.
