Actions

To invigorate the function of the spleen and replenish qi, eliminate dampness by diuresis, arrest profuse sweating, and prevent miscarriage

Indications

Deficiency in the spleen with loss of appetite, abdominal distension and diarrhea,  dizziness and palpitation due to retention of phlegm and morbid fluids, edema, spontaneous sweating, threatened miscarriage, in addition, used for cirrhosis, ascites, aural vertigo, acute enteritis, leucopenia and constipation

Special Usage Dry-fried ones can strengthen the effect of invigorating the function of the spleen and replenishing qi to stop diarrhea
Precaution

It is not suggested to prescribe to those with internal heat from yin deficiency or thist from exhausted fluids.

Chemical Composition

It contains volatile oil, fructose, inulin, amino acids.
