World Federation of Acupuncture-Moxibustion Societies (WFAMS)
On November 22nd, 1987, the World Federation of Acupuncture-Moxibustion Societies (WFAMS) was founded in Beijing. In March 1996, under the guidance of WHO, WFAMS submitted its proposal for establishing formal relations with WHO. On January 27, 1998, the 101st Session of the Executive Committee of WHO approved the proposal for the establishment of nongovernmental formal relations between WHO and WFAMS.
